Privacy Policy
What we collect (very little), what we never collect, and how to opt out.
GLP1Compass is built to need as little of your data as possible. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no forms asking for medical or insurance details — you can use everything here, including the cost ladder and the appeal guide, without telling us who you are. This page explains exactly what is measured, by what, and how to opt out.
What we collect — and what we don't
- No personal profile. We don't collect names, emails (unless you email us), health information, or insurance details, and we never sell or rent personal information.
- Consent-gated analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 with consent denied by default: analytics storage is enabled only if you click "Allow" on the banner, and IP addresses are anonymized. If you decline or ignore the banner, GA4 stays off for you.
- Anonymous usage signals. To learn which parts of pages actually help people (and which get ignored), the site records anonymous "seen" and "clicked" events for page elements. These carry no personal data — just the page, the element, and an ephemeral session hash built from your IP address and browser string that rotates every day and cannot be reversed or linked to you across days.
- Whatever you choose to send. If you email hello@glp1compass.com or type into the feedback widget, we receive what you wrote and use it only to answer you and improve the site.
Cookies and local storage
The site itself sets one localStorage value: your consent choice ("allow" or "decline"), stored in your own browser so we don't re-ask on every visit. Google Analytics sets its cookies only after you click Allow. There is no ad tracking, no fingerprinting, and no cross-site tracking.
Third-party services
- Google Analytics 4 (consent-gated, IP-anonymized) — governed by Google's privacy policy.
- Hosting (Render) — like any web host, the server keeps standard access logs (IP address, user agent, page requested) for security and debugging.
- Feedback widget — a small script from feedback.milanswers.com powers the on-page feedback box; it processes only what you type into it.
- Anonymous event storage — the daily-rotating usage events described above are stored in a database (Supabase) that contains no personal identifiers. Known bots and crawlers are excluded from all measurement.
Affiliate and partner links
Some links may be partner or affiliate links, always labeled as such. Clicking one takes you to the partner's site, which has its own privacy policy we don't control. Per the disclaimer, partner links never change which cheapest legitimate path we show you.
Your choices
Decline the banner and analytics stays off. Clear the site's browser data to reset your choice. Use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on (linked in the FAQ below) to block GA everywhere. And you can email us to ask what, if anything, we hold that relates to you — for almost everyone the honest answer is "nothing identifiable."
Children, changes, and contact
This site is not directed to children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their information. If our practices change, this page changes with them and the "current as of" date on the site updates. Questions: hello@glp1compass.com. See also the Terms of Service and Disclaimer.
Frequently asked questions
No. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we have no accounts, profiles, or mailing lists to sell. The site is a free informational resource — see the methodology page for how it is funded and kept honest.
No. We never ask for your diagnosis, prescriptions, weight, insurance details, or any other health information, and there are no forms on the site that collect it. Reading a page like the Medicaid state map tells us nothing about you personally.
Google Analytics stays in its default "denied" consent state, so no analytics cookies are set and no analytics identifiers are stored for you. Your choice itself is remembered in your own browser (localStorage), not on our servers.
Clear this site's data in your browser settings (that removes the stored consent choice, so the banner reappears), use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or email us at any time.
